Hall of Fame WR Exposes Tom Brady for Ignoring Request to Team Up With Tampa Bay

Over the last decade or so across the pro sports landscape, it has become more prevalent to see aging stars joining teams late in the season to chase a ring.

We've seen players do this in both the NFL and NBA most notably, and it's ended up being a successful venture for many as they keep regular-season miles off of their body and are fresher for the playoffs.

This past week on the " The Bubba Dub Show, " NFL legend Terrell Owens revealed that he tried this a few years ago. Owens told a story about when he tried to team up with future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The idea was that Owens, who had not played a down in the NFL for a decade at that point, would come in and help in high-leverage situations, most notably on third down or in the red zone.

The offer was there, but Brady ignored it, Owens claimed.

"Tom Brady ignored me, bro," Owens said. "It just shows you the lack of respect at the end of the day, but when they get in front of you they want to act like they respect you. "

Owens clearly had no problem calling out Brady for his supposed lack of response about teaming up and trying to go on a Super Bowl run.

Now let's wait and see if Brady responds.
