Carnival Reveals Adults-Only Beach Club at Celebration Key (With a Hefty Price Tag)

Carnival is known for being a family friendly cruise line, but that doesn’t mean parents — or those sailing without kids — don’t want time to themselves.

Now the cruise line has revealed just the spot for these passengers at its new Celebration Key private destination. Celebration Key is still under construction and won’t open for another year, but when it does, adults will be able to enjoy the just-announced Pearl Cove Beach Club.

Put simply, the new beach club is an exclusive and private area of Celebration Key that’s meant just for passengers 18 years and older. It will sit at the western end of the massive development, secluded from the rest of the area.

Pay the admission fee (more on this in a moment) and you’ll have access to your own slice of paradise. The cruise lines says that it will feature an 11,000 square foot (nearly 1/4 acre!) infinity pool surrounded by loungers and umbrellas. DJs will offer music, there’s a private beach, and even beachside food and beverage service.

In addition, the Pearl Cove Beach Club will offer a full service restaurant, bar, and lounge for guests to enjoy.

“Celebration Key will give our guests elevated options and experiences across its five portals and we’ve specifically designed Pearl Cove Beach Club as the perfect place for adults to lounge, unwind or relax in their own paradise,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

But if you want to enjoy the area, be ready to open your wallet…

Three Options for Admission With Three Different Prices

With the announcement of the new beach club, Carnival has also opened up reservations for passengers booked on cruises to Celebration Key. That gives us an idea of the pricing, and its definitely eye-watering compared to the low prices Carnival traditionally offers on many items.

According to Carnival, you have three options for booking a day at Pearl Cove:

• Club access (includes 1 welcome drink)
• Club access plus open bar (10 drink maximum)
• All inclusive (open bar plus Pearl Cove restaurant food)

Prices for club access only show as $99.99 per person on Carnival’s website. For comparison, we recently saw prices for Royal Caribbean’s adults-only area on CocoCay — Hideaway Beach — priced around $40 per person. Instead, the pricing makes this seem more comparable to the Coco Beach Club on CocoCay. Pricing for that varies, but can be upwards of $160 per person.

Want drinks why you enjoy the day? If you have the drink package on the ship, it does not work on Celebration Key. Instead, you can purchase them at the bar or buy the club access with an open bar. That costs $139.99 per person and includes a maximum of 10 drinks during the day. The Carnival website says you drink options are “rum punch, draft domestic beer (regular + light beer), house red and white wine, all well drinks, frozen strawberry daquiris and pina coladas.”

Finally, if you want something to eat at restaurant at the club, that sounds like it will cost extra as well.

Carnival is offering an “all-inclusive” package with access to club, open bar, and a “premium lunch” at the Pearl Cove restaurant. That’s priced at $179.99 per person.

Bottom line: If you’re planning to spend the day here as a couple, then expect to spend at least $200 and considerably more if you want to eat and drink.

Open Bookings & Big Announcements From Carnival

With the news of the new beach club, Carnival also opened bookings for amenities and excursions on Celebration Key ahead of its July 2025 opening.

This includes the ability to reserve daybeds and cabanas, and even what the cruise line is calling “Supervillas.” These oversized cabanas include both over-the-water and beach versions and have the capacity for up to 10 guests. People booking these spots will get a spot with sofa and armchair seating, an eight-seat dining table, stocked fridge, hammocks, loungers, and lunch on delivery. Pricing starts at a healthy $1,999.

It’s been a big week for announcements from the cruise line. Not only did it reveal earlier this year that two more Excel-class ships (sisters to Mardi Gras, Celebration, and Jubilee) are on order, but last week Carnival also shared news of an entirely new class of ship that will be its largest ever. The three new ships (yet unnamed) will top out at 230,000 gross tons and the ability to carry 8,000 passengers at full capacity.

That sort of size may make an exclusive beach club just a little more appealing.
