Asbury Park Honors Fallen Heroes with Memorial Day Service

ASBURY PARK, NJ – The Asbury Park Fire Department invites the community to a solemn Memorial Day Service to honor the nation's fallen heroes. The event will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 9 a.m. in Firemen’s Park, located at the intersection of Main Street and Sunset Avenue. This annual service is a time for residents to come together to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States.

In observance of Memorial Day, several city facilities will adjust their schedules. City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 27, along with the Asbury Park Public Library, which will also be closed on Saturday, May 25. Residents should note that alternate side parking regulations for street cleaning will be suspended on Monday, ensuring that attendees of the memorial service can find parking without inconvenience.
