Boys Basketball: Parsippany Hills Ousts Columbia, 14-12, in State Tournament

MAPLEWOOD, NJ -- Parisppany Hills eliminated Columbia in the first round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 4 tournament with a 14-12 boys lacrosse victory over the Cougars on Friday.

Gabe O'Brien and Mason Wolpov each scored three goals for Columbia (9-8), which trailed, 7-3, at halftime.

Max Gigante of Columbia won 13 of 20 faceoffs, a 65% rate, and Kevin Simon was 7-for-10, a 70% rate.

Parsippany Hills will play at top-seeded Ridgewood in the quarterfinals next Thursday.
