DOYLESTOWN, PA—A Billy Joel tribute band from nearby Lansdale will take the stage at Doylestown’s Central Park for the Thompson Performing Arts Summer Concert Series on Wednesday night.

River of Dreams will pay tribute to the legendary performer from Long Island. Expect to hear songs like “You May Be Right,” “Captain Jack,” “We Didn’t Start the Fire” and “Only the Good Die Young.”

The band’s website notes that its shows don’t feature Billy Joel impersonations, but instead pay tribute to the artist. The band tries to “honor the aesthetics of Billy Joel’s iconic sound,” not impersonate his stage show.

All shows are free and start at 7 p.m. at the C&N Amphitheater in Central Park at 425 Wells Road. A beer garden will open at 6 p.m. on show nights. Food trucks offering ice cream, water ice, pizza and other foods will also be at the concerts.

Township officials are warning that because of construction, parking near the amphitheater will be limited. Parking will be available in lots adjacent to the amphitheater and in the lot near the park exit.

Additional parking is available at the New Britain Road entrance to Central Park. The trail will lead you back to the amphitheater. (More information about parking is available on the township’s website.)
