Gjonbalaj, a Carmel Hamlet resident, is 5-foot-11 and 260 pounds and was last seen wearing black shorts and a black sweatshirt and carrying a black backpack. He does not have his phone with him.

“We are focused on his last known location which was the train station, and we are working with the MTA police,” said Carmel Police Chief Anthony Hoffmann.

Hoffmann said Gjonbalaj does have some health issues and is without his medication, which makes finding him all the more urgent.

Anyone with information about Gjonbalaj’s whereabouts is asked to call the Carmel Police Detective Division at 845-628-1300.
