Turtle Back Zoo is Hosting its 8th Annual BARKtoberfest: Pet Adoption Event & Marketspace

WEST ORANGE, NJ -- Pet shelters and rescue organizations are overflowing with beautiful and sweet animals. In an effort to find homes for them, Turtle Back Zoo is hosting its 8th Annual BARKtoberfest: Pet Adoption Event & Marketspace at the Berson Family Center at Essex County Turtle Back Zoo! Come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens while supporting local animal shelters and rescue groups.

According to a press release, "This year’s event will feature a Pet Costume Contest, vendor booths, food trucks and more! This event is free and open to the public ."

The event is pet-friendy, so attendees are invited to bring their pets to meet dogs and cats up for adoption and enter the Pet Costume Contest. The contest winner will be chosen by attendees who vote online. Please email info@zoologicalsocietyofnj.org for additional information.

Turtle Back stated that the event will be held outside the zoo, because pets are not allowed inside the Zoo.
