    BERGEN COUNTY, NJ - If you've been thinking about adopting a furry friend, the Bergen County Animal Shelter is hosting a "Clear the Shelters" event on August 24 and August 25.

    Sponsored by Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, the Board of County Commissioners, the County’s Division of Health, and Department of the Bergen County Animal Shelter, the event will take place on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 from 1 to 5 p.m.

    The event offers Bergen County residents of all ages and abilities the opportunity to come meet dogs, cats, and rabbits who are available for adoption from the Bergen County Animal Shelter located in Teterboro, 100 United Lane.
