Nassi will replace the new principal at Phillipsburg Middle School, John Stillo, who was transferred from the High School as an assistant Principal to the Middle School Principal. The former Principal, Raphael Laforgia, was transferred at the last meeting to Phillipsburg Primary School to replace the interim Assistant Superintendent, Amy Fontana.

    PMS Assistant Principal, Bradley Bartow

Under Agena 10.1, the board also approved the employment of Bradley Bartow as Assistant Principal at Phillipsburg Middle School at a prorated yearly salary of $117,500.00, as per the contract between the Phillipsburg Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Administrators' Association, Inc.

Bartow, who was not at the meeting for comment. He is coming to Phillipsburg from Belvidere High School, where he was both athletic director and Assistant Principal for the past five years. His enthusiasm for working with students and his “research of the Phillipsburg Middle School resonated with the hiring committee of teachers, directors, and administrators.”

The recommendation further stated that “his work ethic and organizational skills were clearly evident due to having to perform both duties as an athletic director and Assistant Principal” during his tenure at Belvidere.

This employment of both new hires is contingent upon the successful completion of a security clearance as outlined in NJ Chapter 116, Law of 1986, October 1986; the Teacher Bill as outlined in S-414/A-3381, June 2018; and a physical examination, as recommended by Superintendent Troxell.
