The first day of school is a significant milestone for students and parents alike, marking the beginning of a new academic journey. This year, some students are embarking on their first day of preschool, while 440 students are celebrating their first day of senior year, according to Superintendent Dr. Greg Troxell.

In a message to the community, Troxell emphasized on Facebook the district's commitment to providing a challenging, supportive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

"No matter where you are on the learning journey in [the] Phillipsburg School District, it is our commitment to ensure that each student receives the support they need to thrive," Troxell said.

Troxell says the district values a cooperative approach between teachers and families, recognizing that their combined efforts are crucial to student success. All schools within the district actively encourage parent involvement and collaboration to enhance the educational experience.

"We anticipate the usual back-to-school challenges, and your understanding as we work through these issues is greatly appreciated,” explained Troxell. “Please exercise extra caution when driving around schools and allow extra time for drop-offs, particularly at Phillipsburg High School.”

Troxell concluded with well wishes for a successful school year, writing, "We look forward to a productive and enriching year ahead for all our students."

Parents with questions or concerns are always encouraged to contact their child's building principal for assistance. For more information or to get in touch with your child’s school, please visit the district’s website or contact the school directly.
