Broad Street Body Shop Expansion Back on Ridgewood Zoning Board Agenda

RIDGEWOOD, NJ - The zoning board has another consequential application on the Aug. 27 meeting agenda. Les Dann, LLC is continuing its application from the March 26 meeting that looks to expand a body shop at 246-264 S. Broad St.

The matter was last heard in the early spring when legal representatives from the Religious Society of Friends and Friends Nursery School pointed out inconsistencies between the submitted plan and testimony provided to the board by the body shop's owner at a meeting in January . The proposed expansion would raze the existing shop and erect a larger, two-story structure in its place.

Most recently, the board has voted in favor of residents, shooting down a digital billboard in July . That application had proceeded through the variance process for two years before it received the deciding vote. In the final few meetings, the billboard debate dominated the meetings. Now, all eyes turn to the body shop application which appears to be headed for a final decision soon.
