ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Three recent high school graduates are going to have a softer tuition bill this fall semester thanks to the Roselle-Roselle Park Rotary scholarship program. Ariela Reyes-Sosa of Roselle Catholic HS, Selina Chao of Roselle Park High School and Janiya Green of Abraham Clark High School were awarded $1,000 scholarships each that have been distributed to their higher-education institutes.

The scholarship program has been part of the Rotary organization for over three decades. "Our scholarship goes to a student that exemplifies the ideals of 'Service above Self', the ideals that Rotarians around the world work toward," explained Rotary Club President Donna Eleazer. “These young individuals demonstrated outstanding achievements and we believe it is important to recognize their hard work and dedication to their education and to their community."

The Roselle-Roselle Park Rotary has been around since 1923, and is part of a network that includes over 2,000 members in northern New Jersey and 1.4 million worldwide. The only requirement to join is being a good person who wishes to make a difference in the community, the world and in the lives of others.
