Southern Rams Win Football Opener 17-0 Over Highlands Regional

EGG HARBOR TWP - Southern defeated Highlands Regional on Saturday morning in the Battle at the Beach contest in Egg Harbor Twp.

Southern's Keegan Foote hit a 27-yard field goal to give the Rams a 3-0 lead with 7:23 left in the first half.

Justin Silva scored on a two-yard run to give the Rams a 10-0 lead in the third quarter.  DJ Haim scored on a 4-yard run to give the Rams a 17-0 lead with 8:49 left in the game.

Silva ran for 57 yards on 14 carries and was named Southern’s MVP.
