The Ken Tietjen Foundation was started in 2001 as a non-profit organization to honor the memory of Port Authority Police Officer, Ken Tietjen. It is an all volunteer 501 (c) (3) non-profit charity. One hundred percent of all donations go directly to the programs. The Ken Tietjen Foundation's mission is to support local first responders and veterans and assist children and adults experiencing trauma or difficulties. The Foundation is dedicated to connecting first responders and their families with the community and the Annual First Responder Day is in line with that mission.
