    Lewdness at the Library: Yorktown PD Busts Man for Indecent Exposure

    YORKTOWN, N.Y.—A Buffalo resident is facing misdemeanor public lewdness charges for allegedly exposing himself at John C. Hart public library in Shrub Oak.

    According to Yorktown PD,  the department received a report on Sept. 3 about an Aug. 31 incident alleging that the 39-year-old Kenneth Hughes exposed and pleasured himself in front of a female at the library.

    After an investigation by Police Officer Uhl and Det. Hannigan, the suspect was located in Peekskill on Sept. 4, arrested by PO Houlihan, and charged with public lewdness, a class B misdemeanor. He was arraigned before Judge Cohen-Pierson at Yorktown Justice Court and released on his own recognizance.

    He is due back in court on Sept. 19.
