This year, the JROTC cadets at Stoneman Douglas have created a day-long tribute that can be visited by students and staff on campus.

Principal Michelle Kefford shared about the event in a recent MSD update, stating “t his Wednesday, September 11th, we will observe Heroes Day in honor of the victims and heroes of 9/11. Our award-winning JROTC cadets have worked diligently to create a special tribute, including replicas of the Twin Towers and a display of the names of all of those who lost their lives on that tragic day. Throughout the school day, JROTC cadets will stand guard at the display, providing a solemn reminder of the bravery and sacrifice shown by so many.”
