Man Accused of Shoplifting $5,000 of Sunglasses Extradited from New Jersey to Warrington
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA—A Bronx man accused of stealing nearly $5,000 of sunglasses from a Warrington store in June was arrested in New Jersey late last month and brought back to Warrington to face charges of theft. Warrington police said that on June 1 of this year, 25-year-old Jonaycker DeGouveria-Suearez entered the Sunglass Hut with a female. Police said that DeGouveria-Suearez then put $4,487 of sunglasses in a bag and left the store without paying.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER A warrant was issued for DeGouveria-Suearez’s arrest. Police in Bergen County, N.J., arrested him in July. They transferred him back to Warrington on July 30. DeGouveria-Suearez was arraigned on charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property. Bail was set at 10% cash of $150,000. Because DeGouveria-Suearez was unable to post bail, and because he had outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions, he was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
