Yefsi Restaurant Opening with Greek and Italian Cuisine in Tarpon Springs

The restaurant community based on the northwest corner of East Klosterman Road and US Highway 19 will soon welcome a new restaurant serving up Mediterranean food. Yefsi, the new concept, will offer a menu featuring favorites from Greek and Italian cuisines.

Signature dishes from Chef Ioannis Savvatianeas include Pasticio ( A hearty layered pasta casserole made with spiced beef, seasoned with cloves and nutmeg; topped with a baked béchamel sauce, served with a side of horiatiki ), Stuffed Peppers, and Kokinisto Me Manestra ( Slow roasted braised beef, Greek orzo pasta, topped with mizithra cheese, served with a side of sautéed spinach ).

An Italian menu features Francese Vitello, Veal Parmigiana, Fried Eggplant, and other favorites. And that’s only the beginning: there are lots more dishes From the Sea and From the Grill, along with plenty of appetizer choices.

What Now confirmed the news of the opening with co-owner Voula Markos on Tuesday. Markos said the restaurant is expected to open at the end of September.
