    This week, we've got Home Plate Bay Street Grill getting a special shoutout from Phantom Gourmet. Plus, pizza-related announcements from Rehoboth Baking Co. and Smitty's Pub & Pizza, a paint night at the Ugly Duckling, and the return of pumpkin and other fall flavors.

    Home Plate Bay Street Grill gets shoutout from Phantom Gourmet

    One of Taunton’s favorite local spots recently had its moment in the spotlight.

    Home Plate Bay Street Grill, 1094 Bay St., got a shoutout from Phantom Gourmet in an Aug. 24 Facebook post .

    Phantom Gourmet, which celebrates and highlights all things culinary for New England foodies, tagged Home Plate in a post about their meatballs.

    “Just give me all the gooey, melty cheese covered meatballs please,” Phantom wrote.

    Rehoboth Baking Co. mobile pizza coming soon

    Have you ever wished that Rehoboth Baking Co. could bring their pizzas to you?

    Good news!

    The 7 Park St., Rehoboth, establishment is going mobile.

    They recently announced on their Facebook page that mobile pizza is coming soon, and that anyone who is interested should inquire about a booking for their next event.

    Fall wood pallet paint night at Ugly Duckling Restaurant & Bar

    The Ugly Duckling Restaurant & Bar, 47 Weir St., Taunton, is hosting a fall wood pallet paint night on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

    Create With Kath will lead a step-by-step demonstration for guests to paint an 11x17 wood pallet, but creativity is also welcome.

    The cost is $35 per person, and payment is via Venmo, @createwithkath.

    Smitty’s Pub & Pizza now serving cauliflower crust

    Looking for a gluten-free option at Smitty’s Pub & Pizza?

    The restaurant, located at 445 Bay St., Taunton, is now serving cauliflower crust .

    A note to those with a medical reason for avoiding gluten: Smitty’s noted in their Facebook announcement that the pizzas with cauliflower crust will be cooked in the same pans and oven as their regular pizza.

    Pumpkin is back at Frates Drive-In

    Fall flavors are cropping back up, all over the place. We’ve rounded up a few local places here, but in the coming weeks, you’ll be able to find pumpkin spice goodness just about everywhere.

    Frates Drive-In, 1423 Somerset Ave., Taunton, has announced that their pumpkin and pumpkin oreo flavors are back, as is their pumpkin oreo frappe.

    Fall flavors at Tom & Jimmy’s

    Tom & Jimmy’s, 337 Winthrop St., Taunton, has announced the return of all of their fall flavors : pumpkin, pumpkin oreo, pumpkin cheesecake, and caramel apple.

    Fall flavors are available at all three of their locations.

    Tom & Jimmy’s also has locations at: 109 W. Grove St., Middleboro; and 235 N. Main St., W. Bridgewater.

    Caramel apple ice cream at Joyful Scoops

    Apple is also having its moment in the limelight at Joyful Scoops, 139 Thompson St., Middleboro.

    Their caramel apple ice cream is an apple base, with a caramel swirl, and walnuts.
