KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A desperate need for type O blood has pushed Kansas City’s Community Blood Center to issue an urgent call for donors. Kansas City’s Community Blood Center announced on Thursday, July 18, that after a call to action on Monday, it has continued to experience decreased donations in the metro. Now, the organization faces the worst shortage of type O blood it has seen since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A ramp in Downtown St. Louis was closed after a semi-truck overturned late morning Thursday. The northbound I-55 ramp leading onto the Poplar Street Bridge towards Illinois was closed after a semi-truck overturned on the road. Police believe it is a two-vehicle crash where the semi-truck hit the median before overturning.
