Arrests Were Finally Made in Connection to the 2015 Disappearance of Crystal Rogers
In July 2015, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released a missing persons poster for Crystal Rogers. According to the digital flyer, she was last seen July 3 and was reported missing by her mother two days later. Her abandoned car was found at mile marker 14 on the Bluegrass Parkway in Bardstown, Ky. Inside the red Chevrolet Impala were Rogers's keys, purse, and phone. Detectives from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office & Eureka Police Department are actively seeking Nicholas Combs, age 39. Mr. Combs is 6 feet tall and weighs 175 pounds. On June 28th, Nicholas allegedly committed an arson in the city of Eureka for which a felony warrant was issued for his arrest.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A southeast Bullitt County firefighter is being praised for his heroic actions after a man went into cardiac arrest at the Shelby County fair. A letter from the Shelbyville Police Department said on June 12, Firefighter Tatum Scharrer was at the Shelby County fair while he was off duty when a man went into cardiac arrest at the starting line-up of the dirt track. Scharrer was nearby and immediately stepped into action and performed CPR until Shelby County EMS arrived.
