Last week proved to be oneIt’s coming down to the wire for the Teague girls basketball team.

The Lady Lions need to finish one game better than Groesbeck (13-10, 5-6 in District 20-3A) to clinch the fourth place playoff spot. Teague (16-13, 5-6 in 20-3A) was swept by the Lady Goats, but with wins at Mexia (13-13, 7-4 in 20-3A) on Friday and at home against Elkhart (13-14, 4-7 in 20-3A), the Lady Lions could even get into the third-place spot if Mexia also loses to Buffalo on Tuesday and Groesbeck loses either at Westwood on Friday and at home against Franklin on Tuesday.

Tip off for Teague’s last two games are at 6:15 p.m. Friday in Mexia and Tuesday in Teague.
