TISD approves 2024-25 calendar

The Teague ISD board of trustees approved the 20242025 academic calendar at the March 26 school board meeting. The first day of school is set for Wednesday, Aug. 14. Staff development days for teachers will be Aug. 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, and 13.

Monday, Sept. 2, is Labor Day and will be a school holiday. Friday, Sept. 20, is the end of the first six weeks and will be an early release day.

Monday, Sept. 23, is a staff development day. The second six weeks will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 24. There will be no school on Thursday, Oct. 3, Friday, Oct. 4, and Monday, Oct. 7. The end of the second six weeks is Friday, Nov 1, and will be an early release day.

There will be no school on Monday, Nov. 4. Students will get Tuesday, Nov. 5, off as well due to a staff development day.

The third six weeks begins Wednesday, Nov. 6. Thanksgiving break is scheduled for the week of Nov. 25-29. The end of the third six weeks will be on Friday, Dec. 20.

Tuesday, Dec. 17, and Wednesday, 18, will be early release days. Christmas break is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 19 - Friday, Jan. 3.

Monday, Jan. 6 is a staff development day so students will have an extra day off for Christmas break. The fourth six weeks begins on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Monday, Jan. 20, is MLK Day and a school holiday.

Monday, Feb. 10, which is the day after the Super Bowl will be a school holiday.

The end of the fourth six weeks is on Friday, Feb. 14, and will be an early release day. Monday, Feb. 17, is President’s Day and will be a school holiday.

The fifth six weeks begins on Tuesday, Feb. 18. Spring Break is scheduled for the week of March 10-14. Wednesday, March 26, is an Accelerated Instruction Day.

The end of the fifth six weeks is on Friday, April 4, and will be an early release day.

The sixth six weeks begins on Monday, April 7. There will be no school on Good Friday, April 18. Monday, April 21, is a bad weather day so students will not have come to school.

Wednesday, April 23, is an Accelerated Instruction Day.

Monday, May 5, is a bad weather day as well.

The end of the sixth six weeks and the last day of school is on Thursday, May 22, which will be an early release day. Graduation for the Class of 2025 will be held on Friday, May 23.
