OMAHA, Neb. — About 300 Nebraskans packed a room at the University of Nebraska Omaha alumni center for a bipartisan-organized listening session on property taxes Sunday. State Sens. Christy Armendariz, Carol Blood, John Cavanaugh, Machaela Cavanaugh, Terrell McKinney, Jane Raybould, and Merv Riepe listened to residents from the metro and urban areas. Most concerns from taxpayers centered around the impact on local schools and the governor's absence from the listening session.
