Charlotte Heads to App State for First Road Match
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte 49ers women's soccer team hits the road for the first time this season with a 5 p.m. match at App State on Sunday evening (Aug. 25). App State (1-0-1) has a win and a draw this season and has already played one common opponent on Charlotte's schedule. The Mountaineers haven't conceded a goal yet in their two matches this season, playing to a scoreless draw with NC State on opening night before beating Wofford 5-0 earlier this week. Four different App State players scored a goal in the win over Wofford (one goal was an own goal), with Kaytan Kroboth and Shannon Studer both adding assists to sit atop the team's point leaderboard with three each. Sarah Wommack has played every minute in net for the Mountaineers and has made eight saves for the two clean sheets.
