Eastbound Pellissippi Parkway reopens at Northshore Drive exit after crash
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — One side of Pellissippi Parkway was closed Tuesday afternoon after a crash at the Northshore Drive exit in West Knoxville. According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the eastbound/southbound side of Pellissippi Parkway was closed at exit 5 to Northshore Drive. Several fire trucks could be seen responding to the crash around 5 p.m.
Knoxville man to face trial in killing of former co-worker who fired him
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Knoxville man will stand trial for murder in the killing this year of a former co-worker at a transportation yard. A grand jury indicted Daniel Arwood, 38, for first-degree murder, evading arrest and illegal possession of a weapon. He'll now face trial in Knox County Criminal Court.
