Four Peaks Oktoberfest 2024 at Tempe Town Lake: Here are the headliners

Four Peaks Brewing Oktoberfest is coming back for its 51st year at Tempe Town Lake.

The three-day Bavarian-themed festival will be Friday, Oct. 11, through Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024.

The outdoor event is open to all ages and features live music all weekend across two stages as well as German food, drinks, games, carnival rides, dancing and more.

The annual fundraiser benefits Tempe Sister Cities, an internationally recognized nonprofit founded in 1970. The proceeds are used to send Tempe high school students to nine of Tempe’s sister cities.

Four Peaks Brewing returns as the event’s title sponsor, joined by key sponsors Gila River Resorts & Casino, the Arizona State Lottery and Waymo, the official rideshare partner of the festival.

Four Peaks Oktoberfest 2024 lineup: Roger Clyne, Black Moods

Two of Tempe's most beloved rock acts, the Black Moods and Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, are set to headline this year's festival.

The Black Moods will headline Friday's bill, which also features Dirty Rhodes, OC & National Anthem, the Instant Classics, the Chad Bailey Experience, Chauncey Jones and Jay Allan & the Uncommon Good.

Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers will headline Saturday, topping a bill that also features Honeygirl, Green 182, Sliced Limes, Sara Robinson Band, Whiskey Quicker, Superhero, Walt Richardson, Farmer Wilson, Tony's Polka Parade, Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns, Dayweather and Christopher Shayne Band.

Sunday's lineup features Christie Huff, Ashbrook, Wyves, Southern Ways, Lacey Rashea Band, Rose Colored Eyes, The Bayou Bandits and Rock Lobster.

• Free 1-liter replica stein for the first 300 paid admissions through the gate.
• Keg tapping and opening ceremony.
• Crowning of king and queen.

Saturday highlights:

• Frank Kush Foundation Runnin' for the Brats (1 mile, 5K, 10K).
• Brat-eating contest.
• Weiner dog and low-center-of gravity dog races.
• Stand-up comed.
• Free Kinderfest arts, crafts and games.

Sunday highlights:

• Weiner dog and low-center-of gravity dog races.
• Amateur stein-holding competition.
• Free Kinderfest arts, crafts and games.
• Reverse happy hour from 5 p.m. to close.

What's new at Four Peaks Oktoberfest 2024

This year brings new carnival rides including the Freakout, which swings and spins in tandem, and the sky-high swing thriller, Vertigo.

Guests can also anticipate new beers from Four Peaks Brewing, such as the Bad Birdie Juicy Golden Ale, Desert Daydream Imperial IPA, Desert Daydream Tropical IPA and Desert Daydream Hazy IPA.

Admission is $25 Friday and Saturday and free on Sunday. It's free all weekend for age 20 and younger. Early bird tickets for $16 are available online through Aug. 1.

Four Peaks Brewing Oktoberfest VIP packages

VIP tickets for age 21 and older are available for the Jägermeister VIP Backstage Experience. Perks include:

• Private bar areas with VIP-only drink options.
• Three free drinks (or nine with weekend VIP ticket).
• One free food order (or three with weekend VIP ticket).
• Unlimited access to the Backstage VIP Experience.
• Private bathrooms.
• Meet-and-greet with bands playing that day (subject to availability).

Daily VIP tickets are $80 Friday and Saturday; $60 Sunday; $195 for the weekend.
