The Tempe Police Department located a missing child after asking for the public's assistance on Friday to find 12-year-old Jamol Jones.

On Friday at 4:25 p.m., Tempe police released a news statement that Jones was safely located and was with officers and social service.

When Jones first went missing, the boy was last seen on July 12 at his home near Scottsdale Road and Weber Drive, between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., when he reportedly left the residence.

Jones was last seen wearing a grey jumpsuit and is described as a black male, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall, with a large build, police said.
