NJ woman sues Wawa after falling into dangerous hole
FLORENCE — A woman who says she fell into an open manhole in a Wawa parking lot has filed a lawsuit against the company. Courtney Barlow, 20, of Ewing, said she suffered permanent injury after the fall in the Route 130 store parking on Oct. 22, 2023, according to the lawsuit, which NJ.com first reported this week.

HELMETTA/JAMESBURG, NJ - Borough residents will want to mark the calendar for the Jamesburg Police Department's National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6. The Jamesburg Police Department is holding its annual National Night Out from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This family-friendly event features music from DJ Tyler and fun giveaways. Hot dogs, Italian ice, popcorn and more will be served. Chase, the Jamesburg PD's mascot dog, will also be on hand for a meet-and-greet. National Night Out began in 1984 as a way to strengthen the bonds between the community and the police in their unified fight against crime and to improve the relations between officers and the residents living in the towns they serve. Saturday Milltown Water Repair Will Cause Temporary Loss of Service for Some Residents
MILLTOWN, NJ - Some borough residents will want to prepare for a loss of water service on Saturday, July 27, according to a Nixle by the Milltown Department of Public Works. The loss of service is to allow for water main repairs. Water service will be shut off beginning at 7 a.m. on all of Ford Avenue as well as Church Street from Main Street to Cottage Avenue. Service will also be off on Clay Street from Ford Avenue to Cottage Avenue. Milltown's DPW is advising residents to fill containers with water in advance to use for drinking, cooking and to flush the toilet during the absence of service. TE Ben Rothhaar flips commitment to Rutgers
Rutgers landed another commitment in the class of 2025 today when Ben Rothhaar of Norwalk (Ohio) announced his plans to join the Scarlet Knights. The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder was previously committed to Kent State but has flipped to Rutgers. Rothhaar becomes the 30th commitment to the Rutgers 2025 class as he joined the program on a day when the staff was hosting an unofficial visitor barbecue for members of the class of 2026. The class of 2025 commits are expected to be on campus tomorrow.

Dion Marsh Gets Additional 30-Year State Prison Sentence For Terrorism
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on July 26, 2024, the Honorable Guy P. Ryan, P.J.Cr.P., sentenced Dion Marsh, 29, of Manchester, to 30 years New Jersey State Prison – without the possibility of parole – as a result of his previously entered guilty plea to Terrorism in connection with a series of violent incidents that occurred in Lakewood Township and Jackson Township on April 8, 2022. Marsh pled guilty to the charge before Judge Ryan on January 24, 2024.
