Local professor part of excavation effort in ancient city of Pompeii
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - An associate professor at Indiana State University is helping uncover history in the ancient city of Pompeii as part of a global initiative. Alex Elvis Badillo is working with a team that is excavating a city block in the ancient city through Tulane University's Pompeii I-14 Project. News 10 caught up with Badillo on campus Friday to talk about the project and his involvement.
