TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — We have a busy weekend in store with plenty of events happening across the Wabash Valley.
We have compiled some local events that may interest you and your family this weekend.

Merom Camp & Retreat Center Presents “Winnie the Pooh Kids” A Magical Evening in the Hundred Acre Woods , the special theatrical production will be presented by the Creative Spirit Camp. The performance is on Friday, June 28 at 7:00 PM at Merom Camp & Retreat Center, 8555 Phillip Street, Merom, IN. Doors are set to open at 6:30 PM.
Join Vigo County School Corporation and see if a career as a bus driver is for you. The corporation is hosting a second “Arrive & Drive” event. It’s an opportunity for those 21 years and older with a valid driver’s license to test drive a school bus. It’s happening on Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m. until noon at Terre Haute North High School.
Join the Terre Haute Community Band for a free, outdoor summer concert called “I’m a Dancin’ Machine.” The performance will also feature dancers from Terre Haute Academy of Dance. The free performance takes place on Saturday, June 29 at 8:00 p.m. The stage for the dancers will be set up just below the Amphitheatre stage.
Join Vermillion County for a Bicentennial celebration on Saturday, June 29. There’s a lineup of events geared toward the entire family. The Ernie Pyle Museum in Dana will have activities from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. the Old Newport Jail Museum is offering a chance to discover the rich history through stories of local law enforcement that shaped the county. Also from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. the Rail, Coal, and Wine Museums in Clinton are giving visitors the chance to experience the industries that powered the county’s growth and a chance to taste the local heritage. Rockville Lake Park also has activities planned beginning at 5 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.
