Portion of Fruitridge Avenue closed for a month

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Drivers in Terre Haute who regularly utilize Fruitridge Avenue just north of I-70 will need to find alternative routes starting Tuesday.

According to Right Of Way Utility Inspector Jim Roetker with the City of Terre Haute, the section of Fruitridge Ave. between East Margaret Avenue and Hulman Street will be closed for road repairs.

The repairs are being performed by McCalister Bros . The work is expected to last from now until August 2nd, weather permitting.

Residents on that portion of Fruitridge that live south of Wallace Ave. will be given access coming from Margaret Ave., while residents who live north of Wallace can access their homes by coming in from Hulman Drive.
