What to expect at the Vigo County Fair

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Tractor pulls, pro wrestling, live music, a rodeo, thrilling rides, and delicious food are some of the many exciting things to expect at this year’s Vigo County Fair.
Held at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds at 3901 U.S. 41 in Terre Haute from July 6-13, this year’s fair has something for everyone.
Those looking to attend can currently download the Vigo County Fair app here for iPhones , and here for Android . The app provides users with an easy to browse schedule of events, a map of key locations (that integrates with your phones GPS to provide where you are located currently), the ability to purchase tickets, a list of food vendors, and more.
Parking at the fair is free before 3 p.m., after that time it will cost $5 per vehicle, once parked entry to the fairgrounds is free. The fair doesn’t encourage walk-ups as their location is on a heavily trafficked roadway, however individuals who walk-in cost $5 per person.
Riders can get a taste of the rides at this year’s fair for free during a one-hour period. That will run from noon to 1 p.m. this Saturday, July 6.

Ahead of that time, folks looking for discounted unlimited ride daily passes can purchase them online here for $22.25 each. Each pass will provide a single rider unlimited access to the rides at the fair for any one day. Ride pass purchases are non-refundable for any reason.
Unlimited ride passes can be purchased on the day of arrival as well, full day ride passes are $25 Sunday-Friday, while passes for each Saturday are $30.
Those who choose to ride via the ticket system can purchase bundles of “coupons” at the following price points;
120 Coupons for $100 (savings of $50) 55 Coupons for $50 (savings of $18.75) 21 Coupons for $20 (savings of $6.25)
While events at the grand stands require tickets for admission, the free stage will feature plenty of fun entertaining events and shows at this year’s fair.

Sunday, July 7
4-H Fashion Revue, Demonstration, and Public Speaking
Tickets for grand-stand events cost $15 each, with the exception of the Cutest Baby Contest. Tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Office located next to the grandstands the day-of the event. School aged children also get free admission to Sunday’s Monster Truck showcase.
