TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Former Terre Haute North Patriot, Indiana State Sycamore, and Terre Haute Rex player Tony Rosselli has represented the Wabash Valley as a player at every level of baseball and now is as a coach in year one managing the Terre Haute Rex.

Rosselli’s playing career ended in 2021 and now he starts his coaching career managing his former team in his hometown alongside his father, Rex owner Bruce Rosselli.

“Being here in Terre Haute’s been awesome,” Rosselli says,” having my family here as well, my father is the GM and a lot of it has to do with me continuing to give back to the younger generation and giving out my experience to help them move to the professional level”.

Rosselli has the Rex playing their best baseball of the season halfway through his first season. Entering Saturday, Terre Haute has won 10 straight games. The Rex skipper thinks the family atmosphere in the clubhouse has been a big key to success.

“We’re a family from the beginning and it’s been awesome seeing these guys play every single night for Terre Haute.” Rosselli says.

The Rex return home to Bob Warn Field on Sunday for their next home game against the Danville Dans.
