ISU Women’s Basketball holds first practice at Hulman Center

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana State Sycamores women’s basketball team practiced at Hulman Center for the first time this summer on Tuesday.

ISU is looking to bounce back this season after an 11-21 record a season ago.

This year’s roster is a mix of key returners and newcomers and first year Head Coach Marc Mitchell has been impressed with the effort level he’s seen in practice thus far.

“These young women have great attitudes and are working hard,” Mitchell said. “I’m very pleasantly surprised I didn’t know what to expect I didn’t have a lot of expectations coming in. All of the returners have been positive and uplifting and all the newcomers are really pushing each other.”
