Rose Hulman President featured again among Indiana influential leaders

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)—Now for the second year Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology President Robert A. Coons has been recognized in the Indiana 250.

The Indiana 250 recognizes those that are considered the most influential and impactful leaders across the state. They cover many different categories for their selections from business, education, government, philanthropy, the arts, and non-profits. The list for this year was unveiled July 17 and a profile for each recipient is featured in the book and website.

Coons, who is the 16th President of Rose-Hulman was selected for his experience and leadership. This is one of the reasons that Rose-Hulman has been ranked number one undergraduate engineering college and still thriving after 150 years.

The list is compiled by executives, editors, and newsroom staffs from IBJ Media’s three news brands. Compiling the list was a monthslong process where nominations were reviewed, research was done into Indiana organizations, and many talks with community leaders across the state were conducted.

“We believe the people on the Indiana 250 list are especially worthy of distinction. They are thinking big and driving change,” said IBJ Media CEO Nate Feltman in a news release. “Creating this list is always inspiring because the people on it have so much passion for our communities and our state.”
