‘Never too late to earn a diploma’ | Excel Center enrollment now open

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)—The Excel Center announces enrollment is now open for people to earn their high school diploma. First classes start August 5.

There are 80 students already signed up for the semester, and officials said there are still spots left for additional learners. The center gives adults the ability to earn a Core 40 high school diploma regardless of their age or background.

The Excel Center is located in the Meadows Shopping Center in Terre Haute at 2800 Poplar Street.

“At The Excel Center, we believe that everyone deserves a second chance to achieve their educational goals,” Director of the Excel Center Carl Conwell M. Ed, said. “Our program is designed to provide adult learners with the tools and support they need to succeed, both in the classroom and beyond. We are committed to helping our students build a better future for themselves and their families.”

The center provides a number of resources to help adult learners participate including;

• Flexible Scheduling
  • Schedules can be organized to accommodate work, family, and other commitments.
• Transportation Coordination Assistance
  • The center provides assistance to ensure all students can attend regularly
• Life Coaches
  • Providing personalized guidance and resources, the center’s life coaches assist students through each step of achieving their diploma.
• Free Childcare
  • The centers childcare offerings allow parents to focus on their studies.
• Certifications and Dual Credits
  • Students can earn industry recognized certifications and dual credits in addition to their diplomas, enhancing career prospects.

The program has five semesters throughout the year, and allows enrollment 365 days a year.
