Stroudsburg man found guilty of brutal attack on homeless man at Tent City
A Stroudsburg man was found guilty on charges including a criminal attempt to commit homicide after an incident where he beat and robbed a homeless man in Monroe County. According to Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso, 36-year-old Darrell Lashawn Best was a homeless man who assaulted another homeless man, 59-year-old Albert Haase, at a location known as "Tent City" in the East Stroudsburg Area on October 6, 2023.

Enrollment Holding Steady for Chatham Schools; Tomaino Resigns as Chatham High Security Coordinator After 11 Years
CHATHAM, NJ -- Chatham's enrollment is holding steady at 3,525 students heading into the upcoming 2024-2025 school year as reported by Mary Donohue, assistant superintendent, at the July 15 regular meeting of the Chatham Board of Education. Donohue also reported in the video below that there are currently 219 students registered for kindergarten when the district opens school on Aug 26. Maplewood to Amend Setbacks and Stepbacks in Several Village Zones
MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Maplewood Township Committee voted at its July 16th meeting to make some changes to an ordinance dealing with setbacks, the minimum distance between a building and a property line, in zones R-1-5 and R-1-7 in the village. The amended ordinance would also add a stepback requirement for second-story construction on a front-facing attached garage of no less than two feet behind the front façade of the attached garage.
