Longtime Union Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday with Family and Friends
UNION, NJ - Family and friends gathered together on Saturday to celebrate the 100th birthday of longtime Union resident Mary Izzo. Izzo was born on July 17, 1924. She moved from Newark to Union in 1965. She raised five children and became a consummate volunteer, including as the town's Girl Scout troop organizer, as the leader of Troop 588 for twenty years, and as a Washington Rock Girl Scout delegate. TCNJ to provide room and board to local community college students
EWING — Come the fall semester, the housing situation at The College of New Jersey will be different than ever before. TCNJ and Mercer County Community College have worked out a deal where TCNJ will provide room and board to its students, according to a release from MCCC. The partnership “for the Fall 2024 semester and beyond” will also offer MCCC students special rates for the accommodation.

MADISON, NJ - The Madison Council will hold their monthly council meeting, Monday July 22. The meeting will be in person and livestreamed on YouTube. Members of the public who wish to participate in the meeting may do so by joining us in-person at Hartley Dodge Memorial Council Chamber or view the live stream of the meeting on YouTube or below at 8:00 P.M. on the day of the meeting. Individuals in-person will be able to fully participate in the meeting, including providing public comment. Members watching the live stream will not be able to provide public comments. Enrollment Holding Steady for Chatham Schools; Tomaino Resigns as Chatham High Security Coordinator After 11 Years
CHATHAM, NJ -- Chatham's enrollment is holding steady at 3,525 students heading into the upcoming 2024-2025 school year as reported by Mary Donohue, assistant superintendent, at the July 15 regular meeting of the Chatham Board of Education. Donohue also reported in the video below that there are currently 219 students registered for kindergarten when the district opens school on Aug 26.
