Here’s other aid for those impacted by Beryl

SNAP benefits : Texans in the counties of Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Liberty, Madison, Matagorda, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Tyler, Walker, Waller, and Wharton are eligible to have their SNAP benefits automatically replaced for food lost during Hurricane Beryl. For questions or additional benefits you can dial 2-1-1 or visit your local office .

WIC benefits: Food and formula benefits can also be replaced at your local WIC center or by calling 1-800-942-3678.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is still taking applications for damage related to Hurricane Beryl and May’s derecho storm.

As of July 22, FEMA officials reported more than 333,200 individual applications for Beryl-related aid had been approved and $282.7 million has been disbursed.

In order to complete your application and receive funding, the agency warns you’ll need important documents, such as proof of identity and residence.

If you lost those documents or they were damaged during the storm, here’s how you can replace them in order to apply for FEMA funds:

    • Driver’s licenses and identification cards: A government-issued identification card could be required as proof of identity to apply for federal aid. You can request a replacement with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles . To request a replacement online , you must have your license or ID number, date of birth, last four digits of your social security number and the audit number that appears at the bottom of your driver’s license or identification card. Otherwise, you’ll be required to make an appointment to visit your local DMV office.
    • Social Security cards: You might be able to request a free replacement card online through the U.S. Social Security Administration if you have a valid driver’s license, a U.S. mailing address, if you are a U.S citizen or permanent resident, and if you know your social security number. You can also fill out an application and bring it in person to your nearest Social Security office .
    • Green cards: If you lost your permanent residence card, you must complete and file form I-90 application and file it online or by mail. To file online, you will be required to sign up for a USCIS account , and to file by mail you’ll need to download the form and carefully follow the instructions to fill it out before sending it in. Fees range between $415 and $465 with some exceptions.
    • Insurance policy documents: To request copies of your insurance policy documents you’ll need to call your insurance company directly or visit a local office. Most insurance companies also allow you to download PDF versions of policy cards or coverage details by signing up for an online account.
