Miranda Lambert is headed home to Texas.

“On my last album, I was traveling,” Lambert wrote on a postcard as she shared long-awaited details about her next project on Wednesday morning (July 24). “Now, I’m home.” She added: “P.S. It’s honky tonk as hell.”

Postcards from Texas serves as Lambert’s return to her Texas roots after her last record, Palomino , which introduced listeners to a cast of characters in dozens of destinations along a cross-country journey. The 15-track album included “Actin’ Up,” “Scenes,” “Geraldene,” “Tourist,” “Music City Queen” featuring The B-52s , “Strange,” “If I Was A Cowboy” and more.

Lambert unveiled the Postcards from Texas album cover art and track list with her announcement on Wednesday. She shared photos of vibrantly-colored postcards displaying the titles of each song appearing on the 14-track album. So far, Lambert has offered an impression of her next chapter of music with “Wranglers” — a revenge anthem that nods to her Kerosene era — “Dammit Randy” and “Alimony.” New details show song titles with references to Lambert’s home state and one collaboration with fellow Texan, Parker McCollum .
