HIGHLIGHTS: Jacksboro vs Shallowater, Sanger vs Pampa

Class 3A baseball

Jacksboro battled Shallowater in game one of the class 3A high school baseball regional semifinal round playoff series on the campus of McMurry University.

The Mustangs won 7-6.

Jacksboro found itself in a deep hole early, down 7-1 after 2 innings. In the fifth inning, Kaleem Howard hit a 2RBI single scoring Cannon Valenzuela and Tyler Mitchell. The comeback continued in the bottom of the seventh inning, led by a Jackson McComis solo home run. But ultimately the Tigers came up one run short of equalizing.

Game two of this series is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, at 1 p.m.

Class 4A softball

Sanger battled Pampa in game one of the class 4A high school softball regional final round playoff series on the campus of Midwestern State University.

The Lady Indians won 2-0.
