WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Charges for assault of an officer and attempted assault of another are filed after a flight school graduation party for a Sheppard Air Force Base NATO pilot’s wife on Friday night, Aug. 23.

Josephine Andersen, 26, has bonded out of jail on her charges.

Wichita Falls police responded to a disturbance on Liberty Court north of Missile Road around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

The report said a female with blond hair was screaming and trying to enter a house she did not live in. Officers said they arrived and saw a man restraining a woman on the ground, and they separated them.

The man was identified as the woman’s husband, and police said it was hard to understand him because he was heavily intoxicated.

He said his wife got intoxicated at a party for his and his fellow NATO pilots’ graduation, and she got out of control, so he restrained her. Witnesses said the woman had been trying to start fights before they arrived.

As police got information from witnesses, they say Andersen got up from the ground and advanced on an officer and said something, then tried to slap him in the face. Police say they put her back on the ground and handcuffed her.

After she complained of chest pain, police assisted in putting her on a stretcher to go to the hospital. They said she resisted, and when an officer tried to put her legs in the ambulance, the woman put her teeth on his arm and tried to bite him, then kicked him in the chest.
