During the Perryville City Council meeting on Aug. 8, it was announced that City Clerk Tanya Bruton will be resigning from the position as she has accepted another job offer.

“It is a sad moment. We are sad to see her leave,” said Perryville Mayor Rob Kernodle.

The Garden Club of Danville has donated a tree to be planted in Perryville’s Harbeson Park which will be planted this fall. The tree will be a species native to Kentucky.

The council voted to reinstall a streetlight on Liddell Street. The light will cost the city $8.27 per month.
