Venezuelan American artist's work on display at Mount Union

University of Mount Union’s Beeghly Art Gallery will play host to an exhibit featuring works by Mike Alejandro Rowan De La Rosa. The exhibit, entitled “This Castle, These Lands, They Prosper Due to the Effort of All,” will be on display through Dec. 12.

De La Rosa is a Venezuelan American artist living in New Orleans. They received their bachelor of fine arts from Hunter College and master of fine arts from Kent State University before starting a career in higher education. De La Rosa came of age during the political upheaval in Venezuela which left a profound influence on their worldview and an indelible mark in their art’s meaning.
