The family of a Sebring woman who turns 100 on Aug. 24 is hoping the community will join the celebration.

Janice Bennett, who formerly lived in Damascus and Salem, was born Aug. 24, 1924.

The family will celebrate her with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 24 at Damascus Methodist Church, 300 Valley Road in Damascus.

The family said guests’ presence “is the only present desired.”

If community members are unable to attend, Bennett’s family said well-wishes may be sent to Janice Bennett, c/o Copeland Oaks, 800 S. 15th St., Sebring OH 44672.
