Oleander 2 presents scholarships to college students

During the month of July, the Oleander 2 Civic and Social Club Scholarship Committee presented the 2023-2024 scholarship recipients with their funds as they prepared to head off to college.

Representatives of the club said they are proud of the young ladies as they continue to pursue their college education at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (LBWCC) and Alabama State University (ASU). Recipient Ke’Mariah Crittenden will be attending ASU, and recipient Alicia McClain will attend LBWCC.

Among those doing the presentation were Paula Simpson, club president; Michele Robertson, club vice-president and scholarship committee chair; and Traci Locke, financial secretary and scholarship committee member.
