Shot on location in Bali, Ohio University alum Cathee Mang’s “Dancing Faces of Bali,” is a film about Balinese masked dance drama which was co-produced with Adler and Associates Entertainment, Inc. It is now available on Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. and the U.K. dancer and actress Jero Koming Sri and Anak Agung Gede Darmaputra are the leading dancers/actors in the movie.

Famous faces on the island of Bali make cameo appearances in this award winning film: I Made Jimat, the late Ida Bagus Anom, Ketut Kodi, the late Ketut Madra, and Gusti Lanang Gede Darmaputra. “Dancing Faces of Bali” includes a Topeng Panca performance taken from a story about King Sri Aji Jaya Pangus falling in love with the beautiful Kang Ching Wie, a Chinese merchant’s daughter. Producers are Marie Adler and Cathee Mang, who is also the director. The script is the work of Cathee Mang and I Made Berata. There are also interviews with several performers in the film about how they got started in dance.

“Dancing Faces of Bali” is part of a group of films for 2024 which have been released with the support of Adler and Associates Entertainment, Inc. It is currently available on Prime Video in the U.S. and U.K. with English narration and subtitles. There are plans to stream the film in several other countries on Amazon.
