More than 300 luxury apartments are expected to open near the Augusta GreenJackets' minor-league baseball stadium in 2026.

Fansler Construction is scheduled to break ground next month on a 315-unit complex in North Augusta's growing Riverside Village development, in collaboration with Atlanta developer South City Partners, the Jacksonville, Fla.-based contractor announced Monday.

Several land parcels around SRP Park are owned by the limited-liability company SCP North Augusta Owner.

The development will feature three buildings on Railroad Avenue, near the North Augusta Ballpark Village. Plans include a three-story structure with 58 units, a four-story structure with 170 units and a five-story structure with 85 units. The complex also will house two clubhouses and a resort-style pool.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring our quality product to North Augusta,” said Jason Fansler, president and CEO of Fansler Construction. “Riverside Village will bring a new superior living experience to the beautiful Hammond’s Ferry neighborhood.”

The apartments are currently considered market-rate, though specific rents have not yet been set, Fansler marketing manager Valeri Watson said Monday.

This is Fansler's first South Carolina construction project. The company also is working with South City Partners on developments in Venice, Fla., Powder Springs, Ga., and Douglasville, Ga.
