St. Joseph County, Ind. — A dramatic police chase through St. Joseph County has concluded with the reopening of S.R. 933. The pursuit, which began early this morning, captured the attention of both local residents and commuters as multiple agencies responded to the situation.

The sequence of events unfolded around 4:47 a.m. when Mishawaka police officers spotted a stolen vehicle at the intersection of Grape and Cleveland Roads. The ensuing chase led authorities on a high-speed pursuit that stretched into the early hours. By 5:45 a.m., the suspect, a 36-year-old man, was apprehended near the Indiana-Michigan state line.

The active scene on S.R. 933 and Auten Road drew significant law enforcement presence, blocking parts of the road as officers worked to secure the area. Traffic was briefly halted as authorities managed the situation, but the scene was cleared promptly once the suspect was in custody.

With the suspect now detained and the scene secure, traffic in the area has resumed normal flow, allowing the community to return to their routines without further disruption.
